Since 1995, Ella Baker Center’s Bay Area PoliceWatch campaign has worked to protect the community from police misconduct and advocate for the creation and implementation of restorative policing practices. Over the years, we’ve provided a combination of social and legal services while mobilizing the grassroots and employing media activism to move forward our "Justice + Opportunity + Peace" agenda.

Now, after more than a decade of serving our community, we are excited to transition to the next phase in our efforts. As we prepare to launch a new civic engagement campaign, we will no longer offer a Legal Referral Service and hotline.
